Bosnia and Herzegovina Gains Momentum on Its Path to the European Union: Negotiations with the EU Approved to Begin

The European integration process for Bosnia and Herzegovina began with its membership application on February 15, 2016, and after approximately seven years of waiting, the country achieved the desired candidate status on December 15, 2022. This achievement was crowned on March 12, when the EU Commission recommended starting negotiations with Bosnia and Herzegovina.
